presidents message
As is the FAB tradition, we conclude the FAB program year in May by recognizing and celebrating our fabulous Grantees for 2023.

In 2004, FAB awarded $75,000 to 11 organizations. This year, for 2023, FAB will be awarding 28 grants for theatre, visual, dance, music performances and seven education grants to total $282,000. FAB is truly fulfilling its mission through “supporting, sustaining, and enriching the arts in our community!” We are excited to be back live to host the Grantee Awards event. This year, the event is being held at the new Stiles office tower on Las Olas on May 10, 2022, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Thanks to all our FAB members and guests for participating in this celebration along with our grantee representatives.

With May being Grantee Appreciation month, I want to recognize the FAB members who have contributed to the FAB grantee selection and evaluation process. 50 FAB members were involved this year, including new FAB members as well as many long-term members. The process has evolved into a comprehensive selection system that produces fair and diverse results. Thanks for all the hard work done by this year’ Committee Co-Chairs Eleanor Levy and Mike Hartstein.

Thanks to all of you that participated – it is one of the most rewarding FAB activities we get to engage in. Congratulations to all our 2023 FAB Grantees – we look forward to enjoying your performances next year!
