CFAES Annual Research Conference Poster Competition
Deadline for poster submissions is March 11 at 5:00 p.m.
The poster competition is open to any currently enrolled M.S. or Ph.D. student, or those who received their graduate degrees after Spring Semester 2018, working on an OARDC or CFAES supported project. Postdocs and Research Assistants/Associates/Scientists including Visiting Scholars that are not currently enrolled in an advanced degree program are also invited to participate. Entrants may present only posters on original research they have conducted while at The Ohio State University. Posters for the competition must be submitted online as a PDF and then printed and displayed at the research conference.  Each entrant may submit only one poster and must register separately to attend the conference.  There are no restrictions regarding number of graduate students participating per faculty member or department.

Separate competitions will be held for Masters, Doctoral students, Postdocs, and Research Assistants/Associates/Scientists. All posters will undergo a peer-review process prior to the Conference during which they will be scored. First, second, and third place winners in each competition will receive cash awards of $500, $300 and $150, respectively. Winners will be announced at the conference and must be present at the conference in order to receive the award.   All abstracts will be published in the Knowledge Bank allowing them to be listed in the authors'  curriculum vitae . Research Funding in Latin America
Due March 15
Ohio State’s Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) is now accepting applications from graduate students for the  Tinker Foundation Field Research Grants  program. Tinker Grant recipients can receive up to $3,000 in funding to support travel and research associated with master’s or doctoral research in Latin American countries. Sustainability Institute Grant

Are you an undergraduate, graduate, or professional student with a great idea that is in need of funding support? Are you working on research or a project related to sustainability? The Sustainability Institute at Ohio State is pleased to offer a student grant funding opportunity for spring semester 2019. Applications are due, with all corresponding documents, to sustainability@osu.edu  by no later than 11:59 p.m. Monday, March 18.

Association of Agricultural, Biological, and Food Engineers of Indian Origin (AABFEIO) call for a 2019 Graduate Student Research Paper Award
To be eligible for this competition contestants must meet the following requirements:

-Entrants must be enrolled in an agricultural/biological engineering or related graduate program for at least four months during the year prior to the competition. For example, students submitting entries to the 2019 competition must have been enrolled in a degree program for at least four months during the period March 15, 2018 to March 15, 2019.
-Entrants must be members of ASABE.
-The student competing for this award must be a member of AABFEIO.

Note: If author is not a current member, he/she can get the membership before the submission deadline. The student membership is only $5.

The entry deadline is March 15, 2019.

Campus Case Competition: The Water Crisis
UNA-USA invites universities to participate in the 2019 Case Competition: The Water Crisis. Teams will compete in on-campus competitions and present their solutions that address UN Sustainable Development Goal 6: Access to Clean Water and Sanitation. On-campus winners should be submitted to the National Office by March 31, 2019 to advance to the national competition. Learn more...
