Other Opportunities:
Phishing Awareness: Report it!
A large-volume phishing attempt is targeting students. It can be identified by 3 key features: it appears as a “reply to” message, the body does not contain a greeting or signature, and clicking the link directs you to an unrecognized site. If you believe you’ve been sent this or any other phishing message, don’t click any links! Please forward it directly to  report-phish@osu.edu  and ensure your computer is up-to-date with security updates. If your email or computer begins behaving strangely, contact the IT Service Desk at (614) 688-4357 or stop in one of the BuckeyeBar locations in Thompson Library, and Tech Hub.
Ohio State Releases New Active Aggressor Video
It’s scary to think about, but an active aggressor could strike any place, at any time. That’s why Ohio State’s Department of Public Safety has released a new “Surviving an Active Aggressor” video to educate the campus community. The nine-minute video provides important updates to the university’s original safety tutorial released in 2015. The safety of our students, faculty and staff is our top priority and we encourage all Buckeyes to watch.
2018 International Photography Competition
All students, faculty, staff, visiting scholars and alumni of The Ohio State University are invited to submit their photos to the 2018 International PhotographyCompetition. Entries will be accepted through October 8. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your original photographs from around the world. In addition to honoring the Best in Show, first, second and third place winners will be selected in the following categories: People, Places and Arts & Culture. There will also be People's Choice awards for the photos that receive the highest votes via the Facebook voting phase.

Have an event or announcement to share with FABE students, faculty, and staff? Submit your event or announcement name, date, location, and a brief description to fabe@osu.edu . Submissions must be received by noon the Thursday before the newsletter goes out.
