The MAE Automotive Seminar Series Committee is pleased to host Dr. Andrea Vacca from Purdue University on Tuesday 1/29/2019. Dr. Vacca is a renowned expert in fluid power systems, and the director of the Maha Fluid Power Lab at Purdue. The seminar will be held at the Center for Automotive Research, 4:30pm – 5:30pm.

Apply for CFAES and FABE Scholarships
Due February 15th
Each year, all students enrolled in the Department of Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering are invited to submit an application for college level (CFAES) and department level (FABE) scholarships through the  CFAES Scholarship Form .

Scholarships are awarded to students based on academic merit, financial need, extra-curricular involvement, and more! FABE scholarships include opportunities specific to students majoring in ASM, CSM, and FABE.

2019 RCI Convention and Trade Show Scholarship

RCI, Inc., an international association of professional consultants, architects, and engineers who specialize in the building envelope arena, is pleased to announce that the RCI Foundation is again providing funding for up to 25 full-time undergraduate college students to attend the RCI 34rd International Convention and Trade Show. 2019 AGC of Ohio Education Foundation Scholarships
Due February 15th
The 2019-2020 Associated General Contractors of Ohio Education Foundation scholarship applications are now available at https://agcohio.com/workforce-development/agc-scholarships/ . The scholarship application deadline is February 15, 2019. Awards will be up to $1,000 except for the AGC of Northwest Ohio Robert H. Moyer Scholarship which will be up to $2,000 and the Mosser Construction, Inc. Scholarships which vary. All applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, have a 2.5 minimum GPA (out of 4.0), and an undergraduate in at least the second year of a 2-year, 4-year or 5-year degree program.
2019 Builders Exchange Scholarship Application
Due February 23rd
Eligible students must be enrolled in or entering a two-year technical program or in a four-year college program and be in a construction-related field of study. The application can now be completed online. Click  here  for the application, or visit the  BX Scholarship page .

Applications are now open for the Cargill Global Scholars Program - a distinctive, 2-year scholarship and enrichment program providing financial support, mentorship, and the unique opportunity for U.S. college students to travel to two leadership development seminars, including meeting fellow Global Scholars from Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, and Russia.

CFAES Ambassador Applications Available

If you would like to apply to be a College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences Ambassador, the application is currently available online. Click  here  to learn more about becoming an ambassador. The application is due on  Friday, February 1, 2019  at  11:59pm . CFAES Ambassadors are a team of undergraduate students selected to represent the college to prospective students and guests, alumni, and donors.
Nominations Open for Excellence in Safety Awards
Due February 25th
The University Laboratory Safety Committee is opening nominations for the “Excellence in Safety” awards to recognize a university faculty or staff member (Individual Award), student (Individual Student Award) and a laboratory research group (Group Award) who have made a considerable contribution to improving laboratory safety on the Ohio State campus. The nomination period opens  January 11 and closes February 25 .
