CFAES Scholarship Application Due Friday!
|
The deadline to apply for scholarships offered by FABE and CFAES is due on Friday, February 15th! Last year, FABE awarded scholarships to 60 students, worth over $100,000 total. Visit the FABE website to learn more about the scholarships we offer and their criteria.
Remember, your application must be submitted by Friday, February 15th to be considered for a department award!

February 14 is Valentine’s Day where we honor love and shower our loved ones with gifts. For some folks, the day reminds us of the pain from the break up that maybe we just aren’t over yet. The free drop-in workshop Surviving College 101 is hosting a special topics workshop on February 13 called
Thank U, Next: Surviving Breakups
. At this workshop, students will explore challenges associated with breakups of romantic relationships and identify ways to cope and care for themselves during this period of change and transition. No registration required.

2019 Spring STEP Expo

The Second-Year Transformational Experience Program (STEP) invites you to attend the 2019 Spring STEP Expo on Wednesday, February 20. The Expo will be held in the Archie Griffin Ballroom in the Ohio Union. Past participants will be displaying posters about their STEP Signature Projects and engaging with the university community around the academic and personal transformations they’ve experienced as result of their participation. Students will be presenting in one of four sessions: 10-11am, 2-3pm, 3:30-4:30pm and 5-6pm.

2019 AGC of Ohio Education Foundation Scholarships
Due February 15th
|
The 2019-2020 Associated General Contractors of Ohio Education Foundation scholarship applications are now available at
https://agcohio.com/workforce-development/agc-scholarships/
. The scholarship application deadline is February 15, 2019. Awards will be up to $1,000 except for the AGC of Northwest Ohio Robert H. Moyer Scholarship which will be up to $2,000 and the Mosser Construction, Inc. Scholarships which vary. All applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, have a 2.5 minimum GPA (out of 4.0), and an undergraduate in at least the second year of a 2-year, 4-year or 5-year degree program.

Nominations Open for Excellence in Safety Awards

The University Laboratory Safety Committee is opening nominations for the “Excellence in Safety” awards to recognize a university faculty or staff member (Individual Award), student (Individual Student Award) and a laboratory research group (Group Award) who have made a considerable contribution to improving laboratory safety on the Ohio State campus. The nomination period opens
January 11 and closes February 25
