Understanding Algal Blooms: State of the Science Virtual Conference
Wednesday, September 2, 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
The Understanding Algal Blooms: State of the Science Virtual Conference will highlight current scientific knowledge related to algal blooms. Research and outreach leaders will present findings from recent studies and identify important areas of uncertainty.

AWARES 2020-2021 Applications Now Open
Application Due September 6
The AWARES program is for women engineering students to equip them with necessary social skills for a smooth transition to work place and a successful career in the engineering professions. 

Program schedule:

SP 20: January 13 - April 21, 2021
Scholarships
First Students of Ohio Triangle Scholarship
Due September 4
Triangle Fraternity is honored to award two scholarships for incoming freshmen to The Ohio State University who have participated in FIRST Robotics Competition or FIRST Tech Challenge as a student.

Triangle and Phi Sigma Rho Educational Outreach Scholarship
Due September 30
Phi Sigma Rho is a social sorority for women in engineering, engineering technology, and related STEM fields based on the ideals of friendship, scholarship, and encouragement. Triangle Fraternity is a fraternity for men that provides a social, educational, and professional resource for engineers, scientists, and architects while in pursuit of their careers in STEM.

Applicants must be a first or second-year full time student enrolled in a STEM major.
AGC Undergraduate Student Scholarship
Due November 1
Each year the AGC Education and Research Foundation offers undergraduate and graduate level scholarships to students enrolled in ABET or ACCE accredited construction management or construction related engineering programs. The application opened July 1, 2020 and closes November 1, 2020.

Announcements
CABS Service Changes for Autumn 2020
CABS continues to limit occupancy to support safety and physical distancing guidelines related to COVID-19 and must reallocate more buses to move people in smaller quantities. Beginning on August 24, the university will offer two routes during daytime hours. The Med Center Express and Buckeye Loop will prioritize transporting individuals parking in the Buckeye Lot or West Campus Carmack Lots. Academic core service will not be provided during the daytime but will resume after 7 p.m. via the East Residential and West Campus routes. All riders must wear masks. 
Have an event or announcement to share with FABE students, faculty, and staff? Submit your event or announcement name, date, location, and a brief description to fabe@osu.edu. Submissions must be received by noon the Thursday before the newsletter goes out.
