Dear District 113 Community,
This afternoon, the City of Highland Park announced the extension of the Family Assistance Center (FAC) with the FBI and the American Red Cross as well as the community-led counseling team at Highland Park High School through July 15. The FAC and community-led counseling services will be suspended on Sunday to give the community and volunteers a day to rest. Both services will be available on Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
All affected individuals and families should feel safe accessing support services at Highland Park High School, regardless of immigration status. More information and the City’s announcement can be found on the City of Highland Park website hpstrong.info.
For the remainder of the summer, District 113 students will be able to access counseling services each Wednesday at Highland Park High School. More information about how to access those services will be sent Monday to families of current District 113 students.
We are all #HPStrong.
Bruce Law, Ed.D.
