As many of you may already know, Mr. Sauli Niinistö, the President of Finland had the honor to meet the President of the United States, Donald Trump, at the White House in Washington, D.C. last month.
During their joint press conference President Trump stated that they seek fair and reciprocal trade to benefit both countries and added a thank you for Finnish companies for their commitment to increase investment in the United States. President Trump also mentioned looking forward to further strengthen the bonds between our two countries in terms of culture, trade and cooperation.
President Niinistö stated that the relationship with the United States, being broader than ever, ranging from security to defense cooperation, to trade and innovation, is highly appreciated by Finland.
Because our task as a Finnish American Chamber of Commerce is to protect, develop, encourage, promote and foster trade, business, financial or professional interests and commercial relations between Finland and the United States, we
were glad to hear that it is important to our dear presidents as well.
We are excited to be a part of further developing the relationship between
Finland
and the United States now, and in the future!
Have a great day everyone!
Esa Jokela
FACC President
