Another week in the books and another winter storm is coming our way! I wonder where all of this snow was during the Christmas season, but I suppose it had to be made up at some point. As always, I hope you all enjoy some winter weather activities, but hope you all remain safe as well. If there was ever a situation in which school was impacted, we would be sure to let you all know as quickly as possible.
Tomorrow, Thursday February 13th, our Middle School Forensics students will be competing in the annual forensics meet over at Our Lady of Lourdes. The groups and solo acts have been preparing for this day and we wish them all luck as it takes a great deal of courage and fortitude to get up in front of friends and peers and perform a scripted or memorized piece. I plan to be in attendance at this event and will provide photos from it on our social media page, so watch for them!
Lastly, I wish all of you a very happy Valentine’s Day! To close our letter this week, I would like to share with you all a prayer to St. Valentine:
O holy Martyr, St. Valentine, pray for the Faithful, who are so persevering in celebrating thy memory. The day of Judgment will reveal to us all thy glorious merits. Oh! intercede for us, that we may then be made thy companions at the right hand of the Great Judge, and be united with thee eternally in heaven.
Valentine’s Day
Students are welcome and encouraged to wear their red, white, or pink upper-body clothing that is in accordance with the out-of-uniform policy. That being said, students are expected to still have uniform bottoms.
VIP Dance
On February 28th, Father Allouez Catholic School will be hosting our first VIP Dance! This is a wonderful opportunity to come together and have some fun dancing the night away. The event will take place at the Resurrection Gym with doors opening at 6PM and going until 8PM. Any student in grades K5-8th Grade are welcome to attend with an adult of their choosing – bring your best dance partner and dance shoes! Mr. Dempsey will also be in attendance providing the music as the guest DJ! See you all there! Please see the included flier in today’s newsletter for more information.
Sickness
Just putting a quick reminder in here – if a child is sick or developing symptoms, please keep them at home as we do not want extra illness in our buildings. While the dreaded norovirus has begun to quiet down around here, the less germs and illness in the buildings the better! Thank you for your cooperation with this.

2/28/25 – VIP Dance @ RES (Doors open at 6PM)

Mr. Francis Dempsey
