Happy Summer to all of you! I sincerely hope that all of you are able to take some time these next few months to rest and recharge and spend some quality time with one another. Over these next few months, we here from FACS will be sending out bi-weekly updates with happenings at the schools such as projects being worked on and the progress that is being made. On top of that, I will also be including updates to staffing so that everyone is on the same page. Please make sure to read through the abridged newsletters that come so that you are up to date on the newest information!
As always, if you have questions or would like to speak to someone in the office, please contact either campus via phone or email or reach out directly to me at fdempsey@gracesystem.org.
Staffing Updates
I would like to officially announce the appointment of the following people to our staff here at FACS as new hires:
Ms. Hailee Daming – Guidance (both campuses): Ms. Hailee Daming joins our staff as the guidance teacher and she is beyond excited to start. Ms. Daming is currently pursuing her master’s degree in counseling and, most recently, served the community at Edison Middle School.
Ms. Kendra Fieweger – Spanish (both campuses): Ms. Kendra Fieweger joins our staff as the Spanish teacher for both campuses. Ms. Fieweger most recently served the Hortonville community as their elementary and middle school Spanish teacher. Kendra also shared that she is getting married this fall which is super exciting!
Mr. Patrick Mallory – Music (both campuses): Mr. Mallory brings over 20 years of experience to our school of wonderful music education! With a strong background in instrumental (band) music, Mr. Mallory has also been involved with worship and praise music as well as choir.
We are still in the process of hiring the following positions:
- A second 3rd grade teacher
- ELA (English Language Arts) Middle School
If you or you know of someone who is interested in a position listed above, please have them email Mr. Dempsey with their resume and cover letter at fdempsey@gracesystem.org
Building Projects
There are a lot of projects happening this summer to help improve the campuses – both inside and outside of the buildings!
At the St. Matthew campus, the gym floor will be worked on to address some of the concerns with water spots and general wear and tear. On top of this, the campus has also added new security cameras to ensure the safety of all students, staff, and families.
Meanwhile, the Resurrection campus has also seen a fair share of work: all of the signage on the building is up as have the numbers on the doors to be more visible for safety reasons. Inside the building, all of the lockers on the first floor have been completely removed! These lockers were older, rusty, and banged up. The new ones have already been delivered and are looking really good! The installation for the lockers will take place starting on July 7th. Please see the photos below to see what they look like and all of the work that has already been done!
