Dear Father Allouez Catholic School Families,

I hope that you all had a wonderful Spring Break – we are all excited to have you back and to get back to all of the exciting learning that is taking place!

Today also marks the Solemnity of St. Joseph. St. Joseph, the stalwart Father of Jesus Christ, is a great example for all of us to emulate in our daily lives: even when he was not sure about his future with Mary, he chose to listen to God and stay loyal with her throughout many different trials and tribulations. One of the most interesting facts I learned about St. Joseph from the homily today is that he does not actually ever speak in the Gospels at all. Rather, he lets his actions speak for him instead! As Father Ed Shea, a visiting priest from Gary, IN, spoke about this to the students, you could see many of them nodding their heads in complete understanding about actions speaking louder than words. What a great message he gave to our middle school students!

Photography

If you are interested in any sort of pictures that need to be taken this year – senior photos, 8th grade, etc. – please let Mr. Dempsey know and he will be willing to set up a time to do so for you and your family. This is something that he does with his free time, including editing the photos, and would love to share this skill and talent with the greater FACS community as well.

Peace,

Mr. Francis Dempsey

Academic Calendar 2025-26

We are pleased to share the Board-approved GRACE academic calendar for the 2025-26 school year which is available at gracesystem.org | About GRACE | Calendar (direct link to the one-page summary).

Please note that Christmas break will be extended to two full weeks due to the timing of Christmas and New Year’s Day. To ensure the school year does not extend further, schools are open and classes will be held on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and on Easter Monday.

Looking ahead, we anticipate returning to our traditional schedule with these days off in the following school year, along with a shorter Christmas break.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we adjust to this unique calendar.
