Newsletter from Principal Franz

November 1, 2023

Dear Parents,

Today is the celebration of ALL Saints Day. This includes all of those holy men and women who are remembered by the church for their outstanding faith and devotion to our faith. But it also includes those unsung heroes and forgotten saints of our faith who quietly and unrecognized, dedicated their lives to living the great commandments: “love the Lord your God with all your heart” and “love your neighbor as yourself.”

Many of our students portrayed the great saints of the church today at Mass. They provide the adults present with a reminder that we are all called to be saints.

In an age where we are inundated with information and influenced by a multitude of voices, it can sometimes be challenging to find true role models and guiding lights for our children. However, I firmly believe that our world is filled with individuals whose actions and values exemplify the qualities we often associate with saints of the past.

Modern-day saints are individuals who make extraordinary efforts to improve the lives of others, who inspire us through their compassion, kindness, and selflessness. They may not be officially canonized by any religious institution, but their impact on the world and the lives they touch cannot be denied.

As we engage with your children about the concept of modern-day saints and the qualities that make these individuals extraordinary, we encourage them to think about the impact they can have on the world and the ways they can contribute positively to the lives of others.

By introducing the idea of modern-day saints, we can help our students develop a deeper understanding of the importance of kindness, empathy, and selflessness in their lives.

Thank you for your continued support of our mission to inspire the next generation of leaders, thinkers and saints.

Growing in GRACE,

Kay Franz
