November 20, 2024

Dear Father Allouez Catholic School Families,

This newsletter will be our last one in the month of November as there are only two full days of school next week. As a reminder, during our Thanksgiving break, the office will be closed at both the St. Matthew campus and Resurrection campus as well. During this time, I hope that you all find time to relax, recharge, and reconnect with those around you and your families. I offer a Thanksgiving prayer for you all:

Father in Heaven, Creator of all and source of all goodness and love, please look kindly upon us and receive our heartfelt gratitude in this time of giving thanks.

Thank you for all the graces and blessings. You have bestowed upon us, spiritual and temporal: our faith and religious heritage. Our food and shelter, our health, the love we have for one another, our family and friends.

This we ask in the Name of Jesus, Your Son and our Brother, Amen.

Food Drive – Paul’s Pantry

In the spirit of embracing Encouraging Service to others, both St. Matthew and Resurrection campuses will be collecting food and other nonperishable items leading up to Thanksgiving Break. Our theme for this drive is called “Stuff the Atrium” – all items delivered to SMS will be kept in the atrium area and we hope to completely fill it along with all of the items brought to RES. Please see the link below for donation guidelines to Paul’s Pantry; all donations should be in by Monday, November 25th. Thank you in advance for considering donating!

Peace,

Mr. Francis Dempsey

RES Middle School Campus Drop-off Reminder

As we are heading into the season where cold weather rain and snow will start making travel and being outside a bit more miserable, we want to remind everyone of the safe drop-off and pickup routines. If you have any questions, please let the office know.

Drop-off when weather is raining or snowing: Rain and snow does change the morning drop-off. All students will be dropped off at the door near the office. Please make sure that you drop your child off BEFORE the turn around area that goes right in front of the church. Students will be let in at 7:30 am and will proceed to the cafeteria, where they will chat with their friends until the bell rings at 7:45 am.

Drop-off when weather is sunny, cloudy, or windy: Please click here to watch a video regarding the procedure for drop-off.

Volunteer Hours Tracking Reminder

As outlined in this year’s Family Enrollment Contract, each K-8 family is required to complete 5 volunteer hours in support of the school fundraiser (unless you opted for the $250 buyout). If you completed these hours for last week’s fundraiser, please log them in our tracking Track It Forward, within the next 30 days—no later than Monday, December 9, 2024.

First Time Using Track It Forward?

Each family’s login is tied to the primary email listed in their TADS account. Families not already enrolled in Track It Forward should have received an email from "Volunteer Tracking" (do-not-respond@trackitforward.com) with instructions on activating your account. If you did not receive this email, need to update your email on file, or are unable to access Track It Forward, please contact us at facstracking@gmail.com.

For more details on how to sign in and log your hours, visit our service hours tracking page: Click here.
