October 23, 2024
Dear Father Allouez Catholic School Families,
A chill is in the air – Autumn is truly back, I think! Here is hoping that the weather holds on for the trick-or-treating that will take place soon. Speaking of Halloween activities, teachers will be reaching out about what the expectations are for the students on the 31st and what they will be permitted to wear.
On the 30th Resurrection Campus will be hosting the Diocese-wide Vocations Fair. During this time, 8th grade students from all over the Diocese will be coming to learn about what a vocation is and “how you can discover what God might be calling you to.” While our 8th graders are engaging in this wonderful opportunity, our students in grades 5-7 will be on a team building field trip in Door County. Needless to say, there is a lot happening next Wednesday!
Lastly, I want to remind everyone that because of the Holy Day on 11/1/24, school mass will be taking place on FRIDAY at both campuses as opposed to the usual days. A communication with further information will be forthcoming. We hope that you will be able to join us for this mass celebration All Saints!
Upcoming Important Dates:
10/24/24: Half-Day with PM Conferences (12:30-3PM)
10/25/24: NO SCHOOL
10/30/24: Vocations Fair at RES Campus (8th grade; grades 5-7 off campus on field trip)
10/31/24: Halloween
11/1/24: All Saints Day (Mass for day for schools)
Water Bottles in Middle School
Thursday, October 24th, all students at the middle school will receive a water bottle. This water bottle will be the only permitted water bottle going forward for use at the Resurrection Campus. If the water bottle becomes broken, lost, or unusable, please contact the office and a replacement can be provided. If after the water bottle needs replaced once, a fee will be charged for another water bottle.
Conference Bake Sale @ St. Matthew
Three students at Resurrection have decided to embrace service to others by offering a selection of their own baked goods at conferences tomorrow (Thursday) at the St. Matthews campus! There will be brownies, cookies, and pumpkin bread for sale and for donation. All proceeds will be donated to HSHS St. Vincent Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic. Cheers to these students and their willingness to put into action our school mantra: Welcoming Others, Loving Vibrantly, and Embracing Service!
Peace,
Mr. Francis Dempsey
