Dear Father Allouez Catholic School Families,

This week, in keeping with our school’s mission of “Welcoming Others, Loving Vibrantly, and Embracing Service”, our students at both campuses were able to live out each portion of this. At the Resurrection Campus, our 7th and 8th graders served the greater community by helping to pack food for "Feed My Starving Children." The students at St. Matthew will welcome Catholic author (Kristina Schoh) as she shares her book with them. Truly, in these moments, you can feel the bridge of love being built by our dedicated staff and students!

Lastly, our students demonstrated a sense of loving vibrantly in unity with all other Catholic schools in the area by coming together to pray the Rosary in dedication to Our Lady of Champion. It is always a great day to be a member of this wolfpack!

Our musical has been officially announced for the 24-25 school year. In case you missed it, we are going to be putting on a production of Mary Poppins Jr!

I am putting one last plug in the newsletter for the musical and auditions, which begin today! In order to accomplish this undertaking, the students at Resurrection will have two different rehearsal periods during the week under the close guidance of Ms. Lehr, Ms. Junak, and Mrs. Kelly Gusloff. Meanwhile, Mrs. VandenBush and Mrs. Gracer will help to prepare our younger students who are interested in being part of the ensemble. We will also have the support and knowledge of Mrs. Teresa Schmidt of how to run a musical – she has directed musicals at Notre Dame Academy for many of their shows!

This musical will feature auditions for the main cast roles which are for grades 5-8. Please use the following link to sign up for one of the two dates: Audition Link

Parent/Teacher Conferences

It is almost that time of year – conferences are right around the corner! The Sign Up Genius is below for conferences. I have a few tips for everyone to ensure a successful conference:

-        The time will go quickly. What is the most important thing you want the parents/teacher to learn/know?

-        Look over any schoolwork: in case there are questions about a specific grade? This is a great opportunity to discuss it!

-        Make a list of questions. I know that I have forgotten a thing or two over the years (more, if you ask my wife!) so having a short list of questions you want to ask is a great idea!

-        After the conference is over, make sure to have a conversation with your child(ren) as well. They are likely curious about what was discussed and should know.

We look forward to seeing you all soon for conferences at both campuses!

Peace,

Mr. Francis Dempsey

Principal, Father Allouez Catholic School
