Hello Families of Father Allouez Catholic School,

I hope that all of you found some time this past weekend to get away from it all and

engage with one another – the joys of having a long weekend!

Going between the two campuses has afforded me the opportunity to talk to the

students in all grade levels and to hear about some of their favorite aspects of being

back at school (or starting for the first time). I felt it would be great to share with all of

you:

“I love my teacher and my friends, and it is so fun to play with all of the toys!” –

PreK-4

“I am excited to learn all sorts of new things, especially in math!” – 3rd Grade

“It’s so early! But I am happy to see my friends!” – 7th Grade

“Being in 8th grade is cool because we get to be the oldest kids here. And it also

means we get to graduate with our friends at the end of year, too!” – 8th Grade

These are only a few of the many different positive comments that I heard in the

classrooms, hallways, and out at recess. Needless to say, the students are incredibly

excited to be back with one another and to start learning all of the great content that

awaits them here at Father Allouez Catholic School! Go Wolves!

There are a few important dates coming up in the next few weeks that I want to make

you all aware of – many of these were in last week’s letter, but it never hurts to have a

reminder:

9/9/24: School Picture Day – both campuses This is a Monday morning, so make a

mental note to remind yourselves Sunday night! It is a ‘Dress Up Day’, but uniform

dress is also an option for K-8. Dress Code standards do apply.

9/9/24: STAR Testing window begins. With STAR testing beginning here, please

ensure that your child(ren) get enough sleep each night and have a nutritious breakfast

each morning so that they are best prepared. If you have specific questions about this

testing, please reach out to the homeroom teacher. STAR testing is done Grades K-8th .

9/10/24-9/11/24: 6th grade trip to Camp Tekakwitha. This trip is also an overnight experience for our students!

9/10/24: Meet the Teacher Night. This event is hosted at the Resurrection Campus

starting at 5 PM until 7 PM. Food trucks will be on site for dinner at your own cost. The

event will kick off in the gym with a short introduction by Mr. Dempsey and then families

can mingle with one another and our teachers from both campuses. We look forward to

seeing you all there!

Peace,

Mr. Francis Dempsey

Principal, Father Allouez Catholic School

The NFL Regular Season is almost here! This also means that the opportunity for our students and staff to dress in team apparel is here as well. Similar to last year, students and staff may dress in Packers or other team apparel on the Friday before the game.

Different to this year, though, is that whether the game is home or away, this option exists and will also extend into the postseason should we (HOPEFULLY) make it.

Given that there is a game this Friday, please feel free to dress for it on Friday.
