Issue 30 | March 2021
Message from FADSS CEO

Welcome to the third issue of the FADSS 2020-2021 Business Partner Quarterly Enewsletter. This publication is dedicated solely to FADSS 2020-2021 Annual Business Partners to share timely and relevant information related to the services and products they provide to Florida school districts.

FADSS is proud to partner with these companies and I want to thank all of FADSS annual business partners — Platinum, Gold and Silver — for their support of FADSS, Florida superintendents, and public education as a whole.

Like school districts, these companies also had to pivot and adjust in terms of operations during this challenging year. They too had to make sacrifices and difficult financial decisions, YET they did not waiver in their support of FADSS and Florida superintendents. For that we are very grateful.

We all need to continue to work together as we strive to address the long-term impact academic, social and emotional related to the COVID-19 epidemic.

FADSS recognizes the role that our business partners play in supporting superintendents and school districts year-round in your efforts to ensure every student has access to a high-quality public education system that graduates students prepared for careers and post-secondary education.

Please take a minute to read these informative articles to learn more about the quality products and services they provide to school districts, and reach out to them if you would like more information.

Do more for students with dyslexia.

We’re proud to announce a powerful new tool for assessing early learners: the MAP Reading Fluency Dyslexia Screener. Like MAP Reading Fluency—and unlike other dyslexia screeners—this assessment requires no 1:1 administration. It can be given to a group of students or an entire class at once, and it only takes about 20 minutes. The screener clearly flags students to help educators quickly and accurately identify those who need a follow-up.

We know how important early intervention is. As more states require dyslexia screening for early learners, educators need a consistent, practical way to identify struggling students and support instructional planning—without taking up valuable classroom time.

The new dyslexia screener from FADSS Platinum Partner nwea fills that gap.

The FBI has been sounding the alarm about the rising threats to data security in schools nationwide.
