President's Message

Celebrating the Good in April!

Dear FAEA Family,

First and foremost, Happy Birthday to anyone who was born in April. This is your special month so enjoy it. If you or someone you know has a birthday this month, be sure to let us know so we can celebrate you on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.

To all our members, I hope this update finds you all in good spirits and filled with enthusiasm for the month ahead. As we continue to journey through the academic year, I wanted to take a moment to share some exciting news and reminders with you all. Keep an eye out for the announcement regarding the FAEA Awards nominations. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to celebrate the incredible work and dedication of our fellow members. Whether it's a colleague who has gone above and beyond in their teaching practice or someone who has made significant contributions to our organization, now is the time to nominate them and show our appreciation for their hard work.

Speaking of celebration, let's not forget the importance of celebrating not only each other but also our students. As educators, we have the privilege of witnessing the growth and achievements of our students every day. Let's take the time to recognize their accomplishments and celebrate their successes, both big and small. Your encouragement and support mean the world to them, so let's continue to uplift and inspire them in everything they do.

Lastly, I want to remind you all to submit proposals to present at this year's conference. The deadline is fast approaching. Sharing your knowledge and expertise not only benefits your fellow educators but also enriches our collective learning experience. As always, thank you for your continued dedication to FAEA and the field of visual arts education. Together, we can continue to make a positive impact on the lives of our students and colleagues.

TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER!

Warm regards,

Latonya Hicks
