Greetings!

Do you have a colleague who would be interested in becoming a member of FAEA for the 2026-2027 school year? Encourage them to join or renew their FAEA membership to gain access to FAEA's events, resources, and opportunities this fall and next spring!

President's Message

Dear FAEA Family,

Happy Summer and America 250! The unique excitement of summer, paired with a national holiday that brings us all together, makes this a truly special time of year. With summer officially here, I hope you are able to slow down, recharge, and enjoy a break. Whether you're traveling, spending time with loved ones and friends, or just relaxing at home, I hope you take this opportunity to rest and make the most of the season.

Celebrating a Major Advocacy Win!

I am thrilled to announce that the Florida Art Education Association has been awarded the State of Florida's Cultural and Museum Grant, which was recently signed into the 2027 budget by our Governor. This milestone was made possible through the combined advocacy efforts of the Center for Fine Arts Education (CFAE), the Florida Art Education Association (FAEA), the Florida School Music Association (FSMA), and the Florida Music Education Association (FMEA). Ongoing support for the arts is absolutely essential to student success, and it is wonderful to see our state leaders share that same commitment.

Your Voice, Your Vote

Let’s keep this incredible momentum going. Your voice is a powerful tool for advocacy, so please make plans to vote this August (crucial for local school board seats) and again in November (General Election). You can check key dates and registration details directly through the Florida Division of Elections. As we always say in our sign-offs: Together we are STRONGER! Let your voice be heard at the ballot box.

Finally, thank you for your dedication to Florida's students, schools, and communities throughout the year. We celebrate all that you do and wish you a summer filled with relaxation, joy, and unforgettable memories. Enjoy every moment!

Warmly,

Christy Garton

President, Florida Art Education Association

P.S. Together we are STRONGER!
