The Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) is a federally funded initiative administered by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services that provides

substantial, multiyear funding directly to states. Florida has received RHTP funding and is administering the program through the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA), which is responsible for developing priorities and distributing funds to local partners.  Florida received over $209 million through the RHTP to improve healthcare infrastructure, technology, and workforce development across 31 rural counties.
