FALA Counseling
School Counseling Intern, Shelbi Labat, will begin group counseling with middle school students after spring break! These group counseling sessions will last 6-8 weeks and will focus on personal growth! We will practice self-compassion (loving ourselves more), coping with life changes, understanding emotions, mindfulness, and just generally getting to know one another better and develop our self-confidence. This group will be a great way to get to know other FALA students better and to feel supported by some new friends. All middle school students have been invited to participate via email and if they are interested should email slabat@flagarts.com to get a permission form to participate. Inquiries are encouraged. Contact Shelbi Labat with any questions or to receive more information.
Arizona State Testing
AIMS and AzMERIT testing days are coming up: April 3rd through April 27th. A letter about AIMS/AzMERIT was sent home with progress reports on 3-15-18. A testing calendar was also included. Please note that students who are not scheduled to test will still attend school on all testing days.

We have rosters of who will be testing in which room during which periods. We will be sharing this with students and will be posting the rosters outside of the office on Tuesday (3/27) when we get back from spring break. Small group testing will not be included on the posted rosters. Students testing in small groups will be individually informed of their testing locations and times.

Please help make sure your child arrives on time and well-rested during assessment days.  We appreciate your patience, cooperation and flexibility during assessment administration time.

At the focus of this play is Hannah Arendt, German philosopher who lived through WWII in the US, having escaped Jewish persecution. Her works deal with the nature of power and the subjects of politics, direct democracy, authority, and totalitarianism. The show is an embodiment of thought experiments as well as a ponderment on the idea of the singularity, and how technology is affecting humanity.

Support FALA Now
Support FALA NOW | Tax Credit Drive
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's so easy for family and friends to make their Arizona Tax Credit donation right away!  Doing it now gives FALA immediate cash flow and you will reduce your tax liability when you file your tax return. This is a win-win donation that provides support to FALA.
Individuals can give $200 and Married Couples can give $400.
You can designate your Public School tax credit for 2017 until April 16th, 2018, AND, you can donate your 2018 Public School Tax Credit until April 15, 2019.  If 200 families participate, we would raise $60,000 or more immediately to support our already phenomenal extracurricular activities at FALA! Don't miss this opportunity!
It's easy to procrastinate... it only takes 3 minutes, don't delay!

FALA relies on your donation and support TODAY!  Thank you in advance for helping to sustain this remarkable institution that has influenced and prepared the lives of thousands of students and touched families for 21 years.

Thank you!
The FALA Family

Spring in Flagstaff
The calendar says spring but in Flagstaff winter is still here now, which means both weather and Snowbowl traffic are a real consideration for your morning commute.   You need to EXPECT traffic jams from now through mid-April and leave a whole lot earlier so that students get to school on time!
