Hello all. I hope you're having nice spring weekends. I have a couple things to catch you up on.
New Schedule
In order to minimize additional days in June due to the walk out but still maintain our instructional time requirements, we are making the following changes to the schedule for the rest of the year.
These changes take effect Tuesday May 8th.
All school days (including Fridays and Finals days)
start at 8:30AM and end at 3:30PM. Zero and 5th hour remain the same.
Lunch is now only 20 minutes
every day (including Fridays).
Friday Advisory stays at 40 minutes.
There will be a half day (8:30AM - 12:00PM) on Friday June 1st.
We realize that these changes will make the days tighter for all students so expect that teachers will allow for bits of breathing space during and in between classes.
Public Session re: Permanent Executive Director
On Tuesday May 8th at 5:00PM there will be a Public Session to discuss the results of the Arizona School Board Association survey pertaining to the school's needs in hiring a Permanent Executive Director. This will take place after a similar meeting for Staff from 3:30PM - 5:00PM and prior to a Board of Directors meeting at 6:15PM.
If you would like to have input further to what you wrote in the survey, this is your opportunity. Any Board of Directors members present will be there as observers only.
