Volunteer Fall Kick-Off Gathering
SAVE the DATE: Volunteer Fall Kick-Off Gathering

What: FALA Volunteer Corps Fall Kick-Off
When: Thursday, August 30th at 6 pm (social time starts at 5:45 pm)
Where: FALA in Room 10

The FALA Volunteer Corps is a great way to connect with other parents while supporting your child’s school. We are a parent-run group that supports the teachers and administration of FALA. We do this by mobilizing a dedicated group of volunteers (FALA parents, guardians, community members, staff, teachers & students).

Last year, our efforts included: Campus Beautification; Volunteer Support for Performances; Fundraising Support; Teacher Lunches & Appreciation Gifts; and Much More!

But, we need you & your ideas to make this year even better!

Learn more about us by attending our first meeting of the year where we will brainstorm & plan activities for this year.

We look forward to meeting you!

The exhibit in Washington will include the winning artwork from all participating districts from around the country. The winning artwork is also featured on House.gov's Congressional Art Competition page.

Vision Screening Volunteers Needed!
We need one or two parent volunteers for Vision Screenings.  A parent with a medical background (Nurse, Dr. CNA etc.) would be ideal, but we can train a volunteer.

Needed for two days in either late September or early October.

All middle school students and new students need to be screened, so this is an important task.

Great way to get all your Parent Volunteer hours (ten hours per year) out of the way at once!
