The BTI Consortium strives to create visionary leaders for the complex needs of our world. We stand in solidarity and hope with our members, students, graduates, and all of our siblings on the front lines of the fight for change. With them, we make a collective and individual call for accountability and justice.
We bear witness to the precarity of black lives, both at the hands of individuals, and at the hands of our systems and policies. We are angry, disgusted and saddened. But dismantling racism and white supremacy requires more than somber reflection. It requires action.
When our students and institutions reconvene in the Fall (in whatever form that may take) the BTI Consortium is committed to providing concrete support to cross-institution collaboration for justice. We will follow where our students lead, and we will contribute to their mission of bringing into being the world all of our traditions work toward: one of compassion, wholeness, and joy.
If you or a student group would like to propose a format for this effort, or be included in a student working group to create the path forward, please contact Dr. Stephanie Edwards directly at
