Dear Concordia Parents,
As part of our commitment to fostering academic growth and supporting the individual needs of each student, we conducted MAP Growth assessments for K-8 students in September. These assessments help us measure progress in student math, reading, language usage (grades 3-8), and science (grades 3-8). The tests give us valuable insights into each child's learning journey and provide us with feedback at the classroom, grade, and school levels. Tracking progress over time helps us ensure that our curriculum is aligned with each student's learning needs. The data also allows us to refine and adjust our teaching methods to enhance students' learning experiences.
We are pleased to share that Concordia's results reflected the partnership we share with you and the hard work of our students and teachers. On average, our students demonstrated growth and proficiency above national norms in all subject areas and all grade levels. You can see a breakdown of our school results in the Fall 2024 CLSO K-8 MAP Report.
While the linked report provided a broad overview of our school-wide results, we understand that every child's educational journey is unique. With this in mind, we will share individual MAP Growth reports with families during the upcoming parent-teacher conferences. These reports will offer a detailed breakdown of your child's performance, growth, and areas for continued focus. Your involvement plays a crucial role in supporting your child's success, and we are excited to partner with you in this ongoing journey.
Thank you for your continued support of our mission at Concordia. We are blessed to work with such an incredible community of students and families. If you have any questions or would like further information regarding MAP Growth, please do not hesitate to contact either of us.
In Christ's service,
