The University of Fun will be in session each Tuesday beginning on September 18, 2018 and will run until May of 2019 at Chapter 126 - 47 Upson St. in Bristol. We will be offering both morning (9:30-11) and afternoon (1-2:30) sessions. Program cost is $5 per session payable at the desk on each day or you may purchase advance discount passes. Come in out of the cold for our indoor inclusive adaptive gym program - Super Saturdays. The day is made up of 3 different programs. KIDS Club is for children with any type of disability ages 4-11 along with their "typically developing" siblings or friends. There are two 60 minute sessions, 10:30 or 12:45, to choose from.
Varsity Sports Club follows the same inclusive idea but is for those ages 12-21 along with their siblings or friends. Varsity Sports Club meets at 9:00 am and runs for 75 minutes each week.
It Takes a Village is for our parents as they wait for their children in the sports clubs. If you would like to use the workout facility as Chapter 126 you are welcome. Some weeks we will bring in a speaker to talk about a subject that impacts our families who have children with special needs.

The Miracle League of CT has provided programs for children with special needs for more than 5 years now. We've offered programs for the Parents too! Now we have decided to focus a new offering for siblings. It's called Sibshops!
Statistically speaking, the longest lasting relationship in your child with special needs life will be with their sibling(s). We don't need to tell our families that when you have a child with special needs, it has an impact on every member of the family. It's just a different reality for the siblings. Much of the impact is great and enlightening for them. Some is not so great. Sibshops uses fast paced recreational activities that help the sibs to get to know each other and to share feelings and strategies about how they go about their lives. Our pilot program for Sibshops in the spring was a huge success. We are now offering an extended program that will be held on the second Sunday of each month beginning on November 11th and ending on March 10th . We will meet at Chapter 126 in Bristol. Please click HERE to learn more about this exciting new program and to register your child with special needs sibling. This program is for the Siblings only.

The Miracle League is all about removing barriers for children with special needs so that they can participate in recreational, educational and cultural activities as any of their friends or siblings do. We recognize that sometimes those barriers may involve financial difficulties that a family may be going through. We do our best to subsidize most costs for our programs in order to keep them affordable. If you find that you may need a fee waiver or scholarship for any of our programs we encourage you to contact us by email with your request at miracleleaguect@comcast.net. All requests will be kept strictly confidential. We are happy to work with all of our families in order to be sure that every child who wants to participate is able to .
