Upcoming Events with FAM

It's that time of year again! The 2nd Annual Holiday Market, FAMFaire KRISKRINGLMARKT , will be held in the historic Market Square on December 14, 2019, from 10 am to 5 pm. This event will be a spectacular outdoor shopping experience in one of the most beautiful parts of our notable town. These traditional German-style markets are based on the holiday tradition that began in Nuremberg, Germany, dating from the 16th century. Our holiday market will include vendors selling traditional crafts and foods. It is the perfect environment to invoke the holiday spirit while friends, families and neighbors stroll along tents filled with gifts and treats.
This event is FREE and open to the public with traditional German beer and food for sale (must be 21 years or older).
Evening with an Expert:

Co-founder of  Soul Fire Farm  in Grafton, NY and author of “Farming While Black: Soul Fire Farm’s Practical Guide to Liberation on the Land,” Ms. Penniman is committed to ending racism in our food system. This lecture is sponsored by American Evolution, the City of Fredericksburg, and the Fredericksburg Food Co-op.
This program will be in the Renwick Building (previously the Fredericksburg City Renwick Courthouse), 815 Princess Anne Street, from 7:00 – 8:30 pm.  Evening with An Expert  is a FREE program.

Join FAM for First Friday on December 6th from 5 – 8pm and celebrate the holiday season by coming to see the fourth annual “Merry Trees” exhibit. FAM’s gallery spaces will be filled with trees decorated by Hugh Mercer Elementary School students. Each tree is inspired by a book the students have read in the classroom.
