Each year at its annual event, "Showcase Maine," FAME recognizes individuals and organizations who have distinguished themselves through their commitment to advancing Maine’s economy and quality higher education. Through their efforts, these individuals and organizations help make Maine a better place in which to live, learn and work.

Crossing the Generational Divide : Featured guest speaker  Alicia Rainwater  has spoken at many industry events about the generational differences between millennials and other generations. She provides entertaining insights on working with multiple generations, offering tips on managing and mentoring millennials in the workplace and providing tangible take-aways for bridging generational challenges with employees and customers.

Help Build Maine's STEM Workforce in One Simple Step
The Alfond Leaders program provides student loan repayment assistance to individuals who live in Maine and work for a Maine-based employer in a STEM-designated occupation (science, technology, engineering, and/or math). Alfond Leaders may qualify for loan repayment of up to half of their outstanding student loan balance, or up to $60,000.

You can help build Maine's STEM workforce by letting your customers and colleagues know about the Alfond Leaders program. Do you know an employer, STEM student, or STEM professional who could benefit from the program? Simply share this link:


Applications are accepted in the fall and spring, with the current application cycle closing on November 15th.
