Interactive Comparison Tool: Pro-rata vs. Leveraged

FAME just launched an interactive comparison tool that allows lenders to do a side-by-side comparison and determine if they want to insure a loan with pro-rata insurance or leveraged insurance. The tool allows the lender to enter assumptions about the loan to see the cost benefit or what the lender’s loss might be under each type of insurance. Visitors to FAME's website will find links to the comparison tool on  both the Traditional Commercial Loan Insurance page as well as the OLA log in page.

Download the interactive comparison tool (.xlsx format).

FAME will be hosting a webinar about the value of leveraged loan insurance – stay tuned.

FAME STAFF SPOTLIGHT:
Michelle MacKenzie
Commercial Loan Assistant Michelle MacKenzie has been supporting FAME's business division for nearly 13 years. She provides support to the commercial loan team, is the primary contact for FAME's On Line Answer (OLA) support, and serves as program assistant for the Maine Seed Capital Tax Credit Program. Michelle's a veteran wearer of multiple hats, with a professional background that includes customer service, graphic arts, and excavation/paving. She also designed and built a home, acting as general contractor, all while working full-time and raising her two children, Margo and Jay. 27-year-old Margo is now a middle school math teacher in Winthrop, while 25-year-old Jay works with his father in the family paving business as an equipment operator.

When not at work, Michelle enjoys exploring the great state of Maine with her partner of nine years, Chuck. Visits to state parks, forest hikes, coastal excursions, canoe trips and camping are among their favorite activities. She is inspired by her younger sister, Lisa, who lost a valiant battle with lung cancer five years ago. "She lived every day to the fullest," says Michelle. "Lisa's motto was, ' Life is not the way it’s supposed to be, it’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.'"

Helping customers, problem-solving, and utilizing her skills in a variety of areas are Michelle's favorite aspects of her job.
