FAME Lauches New Compliance Assistance Loan Program
Offered in conjunction with the Maine Municipal Bond Bank and the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, FAME's new Compliance Assistance Loan Program helps businesses finance the renovation, removal, disposal or replacement of all or any part of certain oil storage facilities or tanks and certain air quality improvement equipment.

Eligible projects include:
  • the renovation, removal, disposal or replacement of all or any part of an eligible underground oil storage facility or tank;
  • the construction (in connection with replacement), replacement or renovation of an above-ground tank or above-ground facility; or
  • the installation of equipment related to the improvement of air quality in association with a project.
A project may include the costs associated with replacement or repair of a fire suppression system (or any portion thereof) that has been damaged during the course of other work associated with the project.

FAME STAFF SPOTLIGHT:
Scott Weber
Senior Credit Officer Scott Weber has been supporting FAME's business division for eleven years. In his current role, Scott supervises the credit division and the commercial loan assistants. Scott and his team are committed to finding innovative loan structures to mitigate risks and help FAME customers "get to yes." 

Prior to joining FAME, Scott worked at Gardiner Savings Bank as a Credit Analyst.

Scott enjoys working on and with a variety of businesses throughout the state and currently serves as Treasurer on the board of the Kennebec Valley YMCA. Outside of Maine, Scott's favorite vacation destination is Disney World, where he's visited over a dozen times.

Scott and his wife Paula live in Augusta. Their daughter Victoria is a third grade teacher and assistant swim coach for the Kennebec Valley YMCA Stingrays.

Goal: By 2030, all Maine families will be saving for higher education and Maine will have one of the lowest student loan debt rates in the nation.
