Employee Benefit Plans and COVID-19
What we know so far
All we can do these days is speculate. Are we over the worst of COVID-19 in Canada? Is it easing off or are we waiting for another wave? What we can be sure of is that things won’t be the same as they were. Employee benefit plans have changed and will change again as we become more certain of the longer term ramifications of the pandemic.

COVID-19 Returning to the Workplace FAQ
Questions we've answered
As Government restrictions lift across the country and employers begin to recall their employees back to the office, organizations are now faced with a new challenge of keeping operations going while minimizing the risk to employees. The health and safety of the workforce is now top priority and organizations will have to make changes to their policy manuals, processes and procedures and the physical workspace.

To help you navigate our new environment we have put together a FAQ on returning to the workplace. Here are a few of the questions we've addressed to date:

  • How can your organization prepare to re-open?
  • What health and safety measures can your organization take to reduce risk?
  • What if an employee cannot return to work post-COVID because of Childcare needs?

  2. In large group calls, mute your audio when others are speaking. Your microphone can introduce unexpected sounds, and disrupt other speakers.
  3. Put your mobile phone on do not disturb so you're not interrupted by incoming phone calls which on the video conference.

Tips for Meetings in Microsoft Teams

  2. No time to tidy up your home office? Select the three ellipsis, also known as dot-dot-dot on the floating bar and change the background effects to blur or select a background image.
