St. Bernadette Parish
CONFIRMATION PREPARATION
Confirmation Liturgy
is THIS Saturday,
April 24th at 7:00 pm!!!
Please remember that this Mass is NOT open to the public.

You are responsible for communicating all expectations to your guests, including masking, staying home if not feeling well, sitting only in one's designated spot, and checking in upon arrival.

For all in-person gatherings, please remember that masking and social distancing protocols are still in place. Please also remember that if you are symptomatic, feeling unwell, or have had confirmed contact with a person positive with COVID-19, you should stay home. If you must stay home due to these circumstances, we will help you to identify alternatives (such as another Confirmation Mass) once you can safely return. Simply let us know.

Frequently Asked Questions:

WHAT TIME SHOULD WE ARRIVE?
  • As a reminder, there is a public Mass immediately preceding this one (5:30 pm, ending around 6:30 pm). Confirmation candidates, sponsors, and guests will be invited to enter once the previous Massgoers have exited and we have been able to ensure the building has been sanitized and is ready for you to enter.

HOW LONG WILL THE CELEBRATION LAST?
  • With the addition of the Confirmation Rite, the Mass will last in the vicinity of 90 minutes.
  • If you choose to stay for brief family photos after Mass, that will affect your departure time, but otherwise all will be dismissed promptly to minimize risk.

WHAT ABOUT PHOTOS AND VIDEO?
  • There is a designated photographer for the liturgy, so there is no need to take photos during the Mass.
  • If you do choose to take photos, you may not stand or leave your pew to do so, and the use of flash is not permitted.

WHERE CAN I ACCESS THE LIVESTREAM?

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

I'M INTERESTED IN PEER MINISTRY. HOW DO I APPLY?
  • The 2021-2022 Peer Ministry application is coming soon. In the meantime, email Ms. Rena to let her know you're interested!

WHAT DO I DO & SAY DURING THE CONFIRMATION RITE?
  • A video overview of what we rehearsed last night, along with some of the theology around the sacrament itself (the WHY of what you're doing), is available below
  • (Note: replace "Fr. Patrick" with "Bishop Lewandowski," as this video was prepared for this past summer's Confirmations, which were conferred by the pastor with special permission from the Archbishop).
  • I encourage all candidates and sponsors (but especially sponsors who were not able to join us last night) to watch, and contact me with any questions:
