Dear FASPS Alumni Community,

Like many of you, we have been deeply distressed by the tragic and senseless death of George Floyd and so many other victims. The systemic racism and injustice at the core of these acts must not be met with silence. As individuals and as a community, it is our right and our responsibility to express ourselves and to speak out for equity, respect, and justice.

As a school, we must continue to hold ourselves to the highest standards of an inclusive, safe, and welcoming learning environment that cherishes and celebrates the very special differences that our diverse community embraces. At FASPS, we are committed to treating each other with dignity and respect. We are committed to preserving and nurturing diversity and inclusivity at our school. We are committed to building on the tremendous work that our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee and Council have accomplished to date. We are committed to actively practicing compassion and having courageous conversations about race and privilege. We are proud to know that so many of you are doing the same, and we stand behind you as you fight for what is fair and what is right.

Warmest Regards,

Eric Thuau, Head of School
