Extended Day Registration Opens This Monday, August 19, at 7:00am

This Monday, August 19, at 7:00am, the registration portal will open for fall trimester Garderie, Enrichment classes, Middle School activities, Saturday Science class, Advanced French class for high school students, and beginning and intermediate adult French classes. To register, you will

MyFASPS Extended Day Resource Board) and then click on the blue "Login using MyFASPS" button at the bottom of that page.

In the spirit of continually improving and refining our programming, we are pleased to announce some big changes to the structuring of our Extended Day programming for the 2019–2020 school year. - New Drop-in Garderie Flat Rate(s): In order to accommodate as many drop-ins as possible while maintaining a safe environment for our students, we have created a pricing structure that incentivizes parents to preregister, while continuing to provide service to those who need Garderie on a more occasional basis. - New Preregistered Garderie Options: Click here for details.
- Late Pick-up Fee Change: We have changed our pricing structure to encourage parents to pick up their children in a timely manner, while not unduly burdening those who are occasionally late. Click here for details.
- We Will Be Fully Implementing Our Electronic Sign-out System, making the sign-out process even easier for everyone involved. Click here for details.
- Extended Day Team Staff Updates: Please join us in welcoming Kennedy Poore as our new Grade 5 educational assistant (EA), and Jocelyn Mah as our new Grade 3 EA. EAs returning this year include Jade Sheinwald, Olivia Pasker, Michelle Gonzalez, Bailey O’Connor, Jasmine Poliquit, and Christopher Diem. Look for announcements of further new EAs in the coming weeks.
- Extended Day Programs for Middle School Students: This fall, we will run an ISEE / SSAT Test Prep course on Tuesdays beginning September 10 and running through December 11. As well, we will offer a Yoga & Mindfulness class and our highly successful Atelier STEAM. Click here for details.
- Enrichment Class Updates for the Fall: We have a few new Enrichment classes as well as some old favorites this fall: New Art Classes, Sewing Is Back, Creative Drama, Move Your Body!, and Interactive Stagecraft: Space Exploration. French Classes for Adults
|
|
Together with the
Alliance Française de Seattle, we have renewed the structure and strengthened the course options for our Adult French program. This fall, we will offer:
- Beginning French 1: Grammar & Basics (Tuesdays, 8:30am-9:30am)
- Beginning French 2: Culture & Conversation (Tuesdays, 3:30pm–4:30pm)
- Intermediate French 1: Literature & Conversation (Wednesdays, 3:30pm–4:30pm)
All classes will begin the week of September 9 and run through the week of December 16.

Saturday Science Class: Two Sections!
|
|
We are excited to run our successful three-trimester Saturday Science class again this school year, with FASPS faculty Cécile Donati and Anne Sophie Cuna teaching. Please Note: We will need a minimum of eight students to run each section of class (one section for students in grades 2-4, and one section for students in grades 5-7). Non-FASPS students are welcome to sign up as well.

Saturday Advanced French Class for High School Students
|
|
We welcome back Emeric Lefebvre and Alexandre Balet as teachers of our year-long Saturday Advanced French class for high school students this year, open to all FASPS alumni who wish to keep up their French, as well as other high-school-aged community members interested in an advanced French course. Class will be held from 9:00am to 12:00pm on Saturdays, beginning September 7. In addition to classroom time this year, we are planning a few field trips as well!
