Bonjour FASPS Parents,

I just wanted to reach out with a quick tip to help improve traffic flow around our FASPS school building in the mornings (at drop-off) and in the afternoons (at pick-up).

PLEASE OBSERVE THE SPEED LIMIT OF 5 MPH

First, please remember that on campus the SPEED LIMIT is 5 MPH (MAX). We have a lot of people moving in, out, and across the parking lot during pick-up and drop-off time, so please keep your vehicle at a slow roll through campus so that we can keep everyone safe.

DROP-OFF and PICK-UP ON MERCER ISLAND CAMPUS

TYPK–PK Parents on the Mercer Island Campus: If you are driving around our FASPS school building because you’ve dropped off (mornings) or picked up (afternoons) your TYPK–PK student(s) and you’re leaving campus, please stay to the left/outside lane so that you can get past all of the other parents that are waiting in the right/inside lane to drop off or pick up their K–8 students at the turf.

  • There is PARKING for Preschool students on campus. See the preschool parking areas outlined in BLUE.
  • Preschool parents should enter FASPS via the GREEN DOORS (see map below with green circle). Preschool students will be checked in and out from their classroom with their teacher.
  •

Kindergarten–Grade 8 Parents: If you are driving around our FASPS school building because you are dropping off or picking up your K–8 student(s) at the turf, please stay tight to your right in the inside lane so that other vehicles can squeeze past you on your left (mostly preschool families that are wanting to leave campus).

Kindergarten - Grade 1 students should be dropped off and picked up at the BLUE DOORS (see map above with the blue circle)

Grade 2 - Grade 8 Students should be dropped off and picked up at the turf outside the ORANGE DOORS (see map above with the orange circle)

There is PARKING for Kindergarten through Grade 1 in the JCC lot. See the areas outlined below in BLUE.

DROP-OFF and PICK-UP on FACTORIA CAMPUS

TYPK-YPK Parents on the Factoria Campus: Parking is easily accessible and available for all FASPS families during drop-off and pick-up. If you have a stroller or your hands are full, there is an elevator in the main building lobby that you can use to get downstairs.

The stairs leading down to the main entrance may get slippery in the case of rain, ice, or snow, so we would recommend using the main entrance and elevator. Please make sure to watch your step if you are using the stairs and coming through the lower floor entrance.

Thank you so much and we look forward to seeing everyone for the start of the 2023-2024 school year at FASPS!

Merci!
