I hope this letter finds you well. we are writing to provide you with an important update regarding the new FATCA and CRS Reporting system launched by the Ministry of Finance for the CY 2022. This is applicable to Reporting Financial Institutions only (RFIs).
The Ministry of Finance has introduced a new and improved system for FATCA and CRS reporting, and we are pleased to inform you that the system is now open for registration. In order to access the system, it is mandatory to use UAE PASS.
To ensure compliance with the reporting for CY 2022, all UAE Reporting Financial Institutions only (RFIs) are required to register on the FATCA CRS system using the following link: https://fatcacrs.mof.gov.ae. It is important to note that a fresh registration is required on the FATCA CRS system.
Upon registration, the first user who registers as a RFI on the new system will be the Admin. The Admin user has the authority to create a Group and assign specific roles to users within that Group - Maker, Checker, Maker + Checker, Viewer, and Admin. Kindly note that the reporting functionality is not yet open and is likely open shortly. However, UAE RFIs can access FATCA/CRS Excel upload templates to prepare their data offline.
Please be aware that the last date for reporting for the CY 2022 is June 30, 2023. It is crucial that you adhere to this deadline to meet your reporting obligations and avoid any penalties or regulatory consequences.
