DG and EA DEADLINE EXTENDED TO MARCH 27, 2022
Greetings from The FAWCO Foundation.
As COVID persists and continues to affect all of us, it has become very apparent that it has impacted our programs as well. The Foundation is very proud to award the Development Grants and Education Awards each spring to all the very deserving recipients. But this cycle, we have seen a significant drop in the applications for both the DGs and EAs. We can only surmise that the drop off is due to COVID and its impact on individuals, our clubs and their chosen charities.
We have all had to do things differently during COVID and The Foundation is no exception. In a normal year, the DG and EA recipient announcements are made at the conference in March; it’s one of the highlights of any conference. As the in-person gathering has now been pushed back to May, The Foundation has decided to announce the award recipients at that time; we would much rather do this LIVE in Luxembourg where we can all be excited, celebrate together and properly honor the recipients; after all, member recipients and happy moms enjoying their proud parenting moments should be surrounded by their friends!
With the delay of the announcements comes a COVID bonus. EXTRA TIME! The application deadline for both the Development Grants and Education Awards has been extended to March 27, 2022. This will give everyone more time to gather all the information needed to submit a complete application. Even if you or your club had not considered applying this year, you can rethink that decision now that you have the extra time! We welcome your DG nominations and EA applications.
The FAWCO Foundation is in the business of helping others; we seek to provide financial support to as many individuals and organizations within the FAWCO community as possible! We feel this is the best way to make this happen. See you in Luxembourg!
