August 2016
Greetings from Pastor Jeff

I will extol you, my God and King, and bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You and praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable (Psalm 145:1-2).

I cannot help but lift up my voice in praise to our Father in Heaven! Our Lord is great, and greatly to be praised! We at First Baptist Church North Pole have so much to be thankful for. God poured out His blessings during Operation Hope as we were faithful in our obedience to spread the Gospel and speak hope and life to those in our community. Souls were saved, seeds were planted, and the discouraged were encouraged in the Lord.

Our theme verse for this year is being manifest in our church. John 13:34-35.  It is through the love we have for one another - forgiving, encouraging, sacrificial love - that God is able to set us apart from the world. My prayer for us is that we continue to grow in our love for each other.

I am excited about new Community Outreach Center. We, as a church body, voted to move forward with the purchase of the building across the street  (pending soil testing coming back clean). Please continue to keep this project in prayer - that we are discerning of God's will for the use of the building and that we are faithful to the sacrifices He will call  each of us to make.
I am thankful to be your pastor. It is an honor and privilege to serve you. Let's continue to grow together in in His Spirit. Remember, a key to spiritual growth is: attend 1 worship service and 1 Bible study each week and use your Spiritual gifts by serving in 1 ministry of the church. 1 + 1 + 1 = Growth!

Speaking of ministry service - we have an immediate need for volunteers in our Awana Club which will begin Sept. 11th.  Volunteer training is August 21st.  Please contact Julie at the church or sign up on the bulletin board if you can help with this amazing discipleship program.

Be Strong and Courageous,

Pastor Jeff
