Checking in with Charles
This Monday, we joined the entire country in observance of Veterans Day, recognizing the many women and men who have served our country and continue to serve. I am proud to serve in public education because, in many ways, the work our teachers and staff do each day supports our veterans by developing the servant leaders, critical thinkers and collaborative team members who will go on to protect and defend our democracy.

Willowridge Wall of Honor and Academy Sports + Outdoors support Willowridge High School athletes
The Willowridge Wall of Honor, Inc. collected more than $10,400 to support the Willowridge High School (WHS) Athletics Program, thanks to the efforts of WHS alumni who took part in the organization’s social media fundraising campaign. The organization used a portion of the donation to purchase 63 pairs of football cleats from the Missouri City location of Academy Sports + Outdoors for the WHS varsity and junior varsity players through its Cleats for Champions program.
“We appreciate the Missouri City Academy for supporting our Cleats for Champions program and working with us to purchase enough shoes to support our Eagles team,” said Darren Fulton, Wall of Honor Board member. READ MORE
