Kroger presents FBISD with $39,285 worth of school supplies
Fort Bend ISD is among seven Houston-area school districts to receive a share of $275,000 worth of school supply kits that customers purchased during a two-week period this summer, from July 19 through August 6, as part of Kroger's Backpack Boosters initiative.
Grand Parkway Baptist Church joins Austin High School in beautification project
A team of volunteers from Grand Parkway Baptist Church joined Austin High School students and parents for a community beautification project at the campus. FBISD INCREASES STARTING SALARY FOR SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS
Recruiting efforts ongoing as District works to fill vacancies
Fort Bend ISD approved an increase in the minimum starting salary for school bus drivers. Effective November 4, all FBISD full-time and part-time bus drivers received a salary increase from $15.48 to $18.00 per hour. This increase is part of FBISD’s ongoing efforts to attract and retain quality drivers by offering competitive wages. FBISD currently has openings for full-time and part-time bus driver positions. Ridge Point High School volleyball team advances to Area Playoffs
Congratulations to the Ridge Point High School “Panthers” volleyball team on advancing to the area playoffs. Ridge Point will play Memorial High School today, Nov. 8, at Don Coleman Coliseum (1050 Dairy Ashford Rd., Houston, 77079) at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5. The winning team will advance to the regional quarterfinals of the state playoffs. 
Deirdre Holloway appointed to SHSU Alumni Association Board of Directors
Fort Bend ISD Director of Federal and State Programs Deirdre Holloway (center) has been appointed to the Sam Houston State University (SHSU) Alumni Association’s Board of Directors. She will serve one full term, beginning January 1, 2020 and concluding December 31, 2020. READ MORE
