Fort Bend ISD is kicking off Wellness Wednesdays for students with the first of three COVID-19 vaccination events for all interested FBISD family members ages 12 and older. The first COVID-19 vaccination event will take place Wednesday, June 9th at the James Reese CTE Center from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Use Entrance D2 off University Blvd.
To schedule an appointment, use the registration link, click “Sign Up” then the “Submit and Sign Up” button. Walk-ins are also welcome. The vaccines are available to all FBISD family members who are interested in receiving the shots and are at least 12 years of age.
Please note: parents must be present with children younger than 18 and must supply photocopies of student’s ID and health insurance information plus proof of date of birth and home address.
FBISD FAMILIES MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR PANDEMIC ELECTRONIC BENEFIT TRANSFER
Fort Bend ISD families, with enrolled students up to 21 years of age, may be eligible to receive Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT), which can be used to buy food from any retailer that accepts the Lone Star Card.
Registration for Prekindergarten and Kindergarten in Fort Bend ISD for the 2021-22 school year is now open. Families can begin registering their student online, through the New Student Online Registration website, and complete the enrollment process through their zoned campus.
REGISTRATION FOR EXTENDED LEARNING SUMMER CAMPS NOW OPEN
The FBISD Extended Learning Department will be hosting Summer Camp from Monday, June 7 to July 23. Summer Camp will consist of seven one-week sessions at select campuses across the district. GRAB AND GO MEALS WILL CONTINUE FOR SUMMER
Fort Bend ISD’s Grab and Go Meals will continue for the summer, beginning June 7 and ending July 29. Meal pickup is available on Monday and Thursday of each week, where families will receive bundled meals for Monday through Wednesday on Monday and meals for Thursday through Saturday on Thursday.
Please note, Grab and Go Meals will not be available during the week of July 5, as the District observes Independence Day.
Free meals will be available to children and teens 18 years of age and under, and enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old. Families will receive only one breakfast and lunch meal per student per day, and students must be present to receive meals.

Fort Bend Education Foundation recently announced Paola Flores, a senior at Bush High School, won the 2021 Vision Inspired (VI) Foundation Scholarship, which is awarded to a graduating senior from Fort Bend ISD’s AVID program each year.
The scholarship is part of the VI Scholars program, developed in partnership with the Fort Bend Education Foundation, with the goal of providing impactful scholarships and mentorship for high-potential students.
