Dear Britt,

This past Sunday was incredible as we started our new series in Exodus, "Road to Redemption." It was especially exciting as everyone came together in the Sanctuary at 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM. The music, baptisms, energy, and environment were amazing. Thank you for your help in making space for others as we continue to see new people coming every week. I'm looking forward to this Sunday, and now that we have made room, I encourage you to invite and bring a friend!

We will have our fall Church Conference Wednesday, September 20 at 6:30 PM in the Chapel. If you're a member, please plan on joining us as I share a burden God has laid on my heart, as well as some other very important items.

Christ is all,

September Prayer Focus

Pray for our upcoming Global MPACT Celebration (GMC) September 24-28. It is going to be a fantastic celebration, kicking off with Taste of the World at 6:00 PM in the Dining Hall. Enjoy an International Meal for the whole family. To register go to www.fbs.org/gmc. Pray for the many other events planned during the celebration and how you can participate. Pray for the workers planning to attend, serving locally, nationally, and globally. Pray for the GMC leadership team as they finalize plans. Please pray that every church member and attender would know their part to play in fulfilling the Great Commission.

The Bridge is a great place to serve!

Proverbs 3:9-10 (ESV) says, “Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.”

God’s word teaches us that when we honor Him first with our resources, He will bless us. This blessing is not just to provide for our needs, it alsow allows us to give more back to His Kingdom.

Your tithes and offerings to First Baptist allows the many ministries to keep going strong in order to reach more people for Christ. Thank you for your generous stewardship by faithfully giving of your firstfruits so we can see lives changed for eternity in Spartanburg and around the world.

As you think about your financial stewardship, here are a couple of the many options you can consider:

  • You can always give online, but if you are unable to attend on Sunday morning and don’t wish to give online, you can mail your gift to 250 East Main St. Spartanburg, SC 29306.

  • You can also stop by the church during office hours throughout the week and securely leave your gift in the drop box at the welcome center.
