1 Chronicles 16:34 (NKJV)

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

Anyone else grateful for the cooler temperatures? Sweater weather? Thanksgiving? November continually proves to be a great month, with all the fun and traditions that it brings. I am thankful for the FCA family and what the Lord has brought us to and through. During this Thanksgiving season, I encourage you to reflect on His goodness to you. Even on the most difficult of days, there is always something for which we can be thankful.

Thanks to all of you who attended our 25th Anniversary Celebration on October 29. Our Development Department, spearheaded by John Van Tomme, Glenn Parrish, and Rachel Paul, did an outstanding job setting the stage for fun! Please take a look at the highlights videos below. Special thanks to our Campus Pastor, Eric Snow, for his willingness to be slimed! That is a video you simply must-see.

In addition, our 25th Anniversary Raffle was a hit! Thanks so much for your support. The pictures of the winners are below. It's worth a mention that the winner of the $5,000 Grand Prize, Larry Old, purchased a total of one ticket! When it's meant to be, it's meant to be.

Also, after a year on pause, tickets for the 21st Annual Father-Daughter Ball are now on sale! Get your tickets here: Father-Daughter Ball Tickets.

Finally, Basketball season tips off this month, and we are excited about competing once again in the Southeastern Christian Conference (SECC). Links to the Boys and Girls schedules are below. I encourage you to support our squads when you can.

I pray that you and your family have the best of Novembers!

Together in Faith,
Bryan Alvaré

SCHOOL EVENTS - LOWER SCHOOL
The Lower School celebrated its 50th day of school on October 26th! Students and staff dressed in their best 50's attire and posed in front of a Thunderbird.
During "GO WEEK" many Upper School students gave back to the Lower School by spreading mulch on the VPK playground, volunteering in classrooms with pumpkin science and fun art projects, and setting up the Sanctuary for Sunday service. The students were in awe when the big kids even stayed to help with lunch duties.
SCHOOL EVENTS - UPPER SCHOOL
Faith Christian Academy’s Upper School Go Week 2021 was not only a blessing to our students and staff, but to the community as well. The theme “What if…?” explored the idea that we can accomplish much for God when we ask ourselves the question, “What if…?” Each day the students dressed in a different themed outfit and each chapel started with games, led by our high school mission’s class. Praise and worship was led by Heather. On Monday, Luis Pena from Oceanway Baptist spoke on “What if…we brought our friends to Jesus?” His wife, Larissa Pena shared on Tuesday, “What if... we are kind to others?” Her message inspired one of our students to speak in chapel several weeks later. From Hope for the Nations, Chris Conley spoke on Wednesday, “What if…you said, ‘Yes’?”, and Tommy Peters from The Journey Church spoke on Thursday, “What if…you allow God to use you?”. Friday culminated with our own Michelle Walsh speaking on the character of initiative and our students putting feet to their faith.
Our students were divided into teams that went out into the community to serve. The teams served at Gracie’s Kitchen, The Journey Church, Faith Christian Academy’s Lower School, and Keep Nassau Beautiful. Gracie’s Kitchen serves meals to people in need and also hands out food to families needing help. The team helped to sort food items. The Journey Church team helped to mop and do general cleaning of their facilities. The FCA Lower School teams helped spread mulch in the playground and went into the classrooms to assist teachers. Keep Nassau Beautiful teams worked in flower beds (pulling weeds) and beach cleanup. The leaders in each area that we served were appreciative of the help we gave. Our students displayed the hands and feet of Jesus in a tangible way. I Corinthians 12:27, “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”
