Sermon Text: 2 Kings 4:42-44
Sermon Title: "Not Enough"
42 A man came from Baal-shalishah, bringing food from the first fruits to the man of God: twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. Elisha said, “Give it to the people and let them eat.” 43 But his servant said, “How can I set this before a hundred people?” So he repeated, “Give it to the people and let them eat, for thus says the Lord, ‘They shall eat and have some left.’” 44 He set it before them, they ate, and had some left, according to the word of the Lord.

The shelter has a year-round
list of needs that are always appreciated!

They're especially short on men's deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors & socks. Food items: canned meats, #10-size canned fruits/vegetables & applesauce.

Please sit your donations under the shelter, next to FCC's parking lot,
at the set of double doors with a mailbox.

Proverbs 31:8-9
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,
for the rights of all who are destitute.
Speak up and judge fairly;
defend the rights of the poor and needy.

Dear Fellow Christians!

Every month, I send you the name of the food or other item that Crisis Control Ministry would like to help fill their food pantry. Every month, I tell you that food is needed to supplement food supplies in many households every day. Every month, I try to say that in all different ways to keep us from becoming complacent to the need.  You have responded so well every month,
and I am always proud to say these items represent
the congregation of First Christian Church, Country Club Road.

This month is July and nothing has changed.
CCM’s request this month is PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY
I’m sure these items are not new to you.
Our congregation supports New Communion with the same items each month, and you are doing a great job there also. PB&J makes one of the “best” sandwiches ever as long as you don’t go too far with the J!
Please, folks, continue what you have been doing,
and pick up a double order this month and even more people will be served.

You can place your Crisis Control Ministry items
in the white box in the Administrative entrance.
I ask God’s blessings on the work you do!

and remember to keep our church family in your prayers.

Philippians 4:6-7  “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
