Seeking mentors to assist new(er) advisors navigate Texas FCCLA. Please sign up to assist. If you need a mentor, you can sign up at the same link.

If you know of any change in advisor from retirement to changing schools and all in between, please email jsams@texasfccla.org so that we may make edits in the portal.

Please note that the State Fair of Texas Ag Awareness Day is Wednesday, October 12th. FCCLA Chapters gain free admission by participating in their service learning opportunity which is a Food Drive for Dallas area residents. BONUS there are great prizes for the winner!

Texas will once again follow the national rules for competitive events. You may access them in the National FCCLA portal. The National update to the Competitive Event's Guide typically occurs the middle of September. The Competitive Events Task Force will meet on September 19 and the Texas updates to both STAR Events and Proficiency Events will follow.

Due to a volunteer shortage, the Texas FCCLA Board of Directors has implemented the volunteer policy. Each chapter attending the Region and State Leadership Conference is required to provide a minimum of one adult volunteer for the conference. This volunteer can be a chapter advisor or an adult from the school's chapter. Competitive events cannot take place without a large number of volunteers.

The purpose of the policy is to eliminate the volunteer shortage. Texas FCCLA would much rather have volunteers instead of collecting fees.

Chapters who do not provide a volunteer will be charged a $150 fee and will be unable to participate in any events with Texas FCCLA until the balance is paid.

Texas FCCLA does not accept cash for any payements. All conference fees and expenses must be in the form of a check, credit card, or other electronic payment.
