Dear FCHCC friends,
As we near the end of this year, it's so important to say how much we appreciate your support and your participation. The Chamber would not be where it is today without you.
Looking back at what we accomplished this year with your help. The FCHCC:
-
The FCHCC won "Chamber of the Year" (small category) award from the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC).
- Hosted the 5th Excellence in Business Awards where we recognized Hispanic leaders who have made important impacts in our community.
- Hosted 9 Social Cafecito meetings for members to learn more about the available tools and resources for business growth as well as understanding the membership benefits that come with partnering with FCHCC.
- Awarded 12 deserving Hispanic Students with scholarships at the Hispanic Heritage Starlight Gala and ATD Awards.
-
Hosted the annual Hola Emprende Conference, a comprehensive full-day workshop in partnership with the Community Foundation of Northeast Florida. The conference is committed to empowering and supporting the Hispanic community.
-
Hosted the inaugural Hola Emprende Expo in our first collaboration with the City of Jacksonville. Over 90 vendors showcased their products and services. And, from this event, many of these vendors became members of the Chamber.
- Received proclamations for Hispanic Heritage Month from the City of Jacksonville and the St. John's Board of County Commissioners.
- Held and participated in several events celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, including these community events: ATD Food Bank, Jumbo Shrimp, UNIDOS US Voting Drive and the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet.
- Our weekly radio show, "FCHCC Al Aire" provides viewers with more information about our business members, enabling them to grow their customer base.
- And, finally, I was recognized with the "Ultimate CEO" award by the Jacksonville Business Journal.
