The Women’s Alliance Against Violence &
The Reproductive Health Act

Stay Tuned!
Pro-life Feminist Attorneys Are On The Move!

Committed to our mission to educate New Yorkers, FCLNY organized and managed a team of pro-life feminist legal scholars to research the legality and impact of the Reproductive Health Act (RHA) and abortion deregulation.

FCLNY connected with the Women’s Alliance Against Violence (WAAV), which expanded this project and these lawyers are now positioning to litigate this horrific NYS statute. WAAV is an initiative of the Thomas More Society.

Thank you to our friends at the Thomas More Society for taking on this effort! In italics below is an excerpt from their July 2020, newsletter:

We’re preparing to challenge New York’s Reproductive Health Act (RHA)… In January, 2019, New York’s legislature enacted the RHA, which permits the killing of viable or pre-viable unborn children for any reason up to 24 weeks of pregnancy, or where there is an absence of fetal viability, or at any time through birth where the abortion is necessary to protect the patient’s life or health. Health is not defined... The RHA also redefines “person” in the criminal law so that the taking of any life, whether wanted or not, before live birth is not a homicide...

We’re deeply concerned about many aspects of this horrendous law... The devastating practical impact of the RHA cannot be overstated. It endangers women’s lives and allows for the destruction of viable humans in utero.

All Black Lives Matter Lawn Sign Campaign
As an educational non-profit and member of the Consistent Life Network, Feminists Choosing Life of NY fights all forms of publicly sanctioned violence through advocacy and social awareness. FCLNY vehemently condemns the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and the many other nonviolent individuals killed by police. We acknowledge that the problem is larger than any one victim. FCLNY unequivocally opposes the systemic racism that has led to these brutal acts and the feelings of hopelessness and despair they have created. Please go to our website for the Full Campaign Overview and Comprehensive Report on Systemic Racism.

We are hoping to raise $10,000 to disseminate thousands of our All Black Lives Matter lawn signs throughout NYS and our nation at large. We partnered with I’m Livin' B, a black-owned, local printing company in Buffalo to print our customized lawn sign design. Also, a portion of the proceeds will benefit several NYS organizations that support and empower our Black community.

Please join in our efforts to raise awareness about systemic racism and support our local community. Our suggested donation for 1 sign is $18, 3 signs $50, 7 signs $100.  If you are ordering online, your sign will be shipped free of charge.
