Celebrating 230 Years
1792 - 2022
TOGETHER WE ARE THE FCMA
There are several physicians running for public office in 2022 at both the federal and state levels.
State Senator Saud Anwar, MD, a pulmonologist in Vernon, CT is running for re-election. Dr. Anwar currently is the interim co-chair of the Public Health Committee.
Jeffrey Gordon, MD, an oncologist and hematologist in Woodstock, CT, is running for State Senate.
Larry Lazur, MD, an OB/GYN in West Hartford, CT, is running for the First District of CT for the U.S. Congress.
Michael Goldstein, MD, JD, an ophthalmologist from Greenwich, CT, is running for the Fourth District of CT for the U.S. Congress.
Stepping Down
After serving three terms in the State House of Representatives, William Petit, MD, an endocrinologist from Plainville, CT has decided not to run for re-election. We thank Dr, William Petit for everything he has done while serving in the State Legislature. He will be sorely missed on the Public Health Committee.
While FCMA does not endorse or support any candidate for public office, the association will circulate information, as it becomes available, about fundraising events for these physician candidates.
