TRIP TO THE HOLY LAND
One year from now, we are anticipating several people from Fountain City UMC traveling to the Holy Land. To be able to make such a pilgrimage to places referred to in scripture adds a dimension to our reading and learning. The Society for Biblical Studies has arranged a 10-day itinerary for us, Dan to Beersheba, February 11-20, 2021, with an optional 4-day extension, The Wonders of Petra. Check out the itinerary by clicking here. We will actually be in the Holy Land on Ash Wednesday, which will be unforgettable, no doubt. A trip of this magnitude doesn't come together overnight, so I invite you to begin giving it some prayerful consideration. If you are interested, we have information available in the office for you to review. Without a doubt, this experience will be life-changing and life-enhancing.

NOTABLE NEEDS
PLACES TO SERVE

HiSET at FCUMC is seeking language/reading tutors for our growing program. Curriculum materials are provided, so no preparation is necessary. Mondays and/or Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in Room 106. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Debby Dykeman at 615-336-5640.

FAMILY PROMISE - APRIL 5-11
Family Promise is an important ministry impacting the lives of families right here in our city: single mothers, parents working hard to get back on their feet, children thrown into the instability of being homeless. And our church body has the privilege  of partnering with Christ UMC in Halls as we help homeless and low income families work to achieve sustainable independence. Our responsibility is one meal and one overnight as a host. Please contact Debbie Pickett if you are available to help with this important ministry.
