White House and Congress Reach Deal on Coronavirus Response
Tonight (March 13) House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that the Administration and Congressional Democrats have reached a deal on legislation to respond to the coronavirus situation. President Trump stated his strong support for the deal via Twitter, and the House plans to vote on the bill later tonight.

Speaker Pelosi said the Families First Coronavirus Response Act will provide for free coronavirus testing for everyone who needs a test, up to two weeks paid sick leave, three months of paid family and medical leave, stronger unemployment insurance for displaced workers, and increased funding for Medicaid. This is a developing situation, and we will continue to review the details of the proposal closely and provide more information on next week's coronavirus call.

Earlier today, President Trump declared a national emergency and announced efforts to partner with industry and retail leaders, increase the availability of coronavirus testing, and ease federal administrative rules for hospitals.

We will cover these and other key developments on our weekly coronavirus call Tuesday, March 17th at 2:00 p.m. EST. You can register here:
